She is a resident of Norfolk, VA with fifteen years of educational experience. She is a graduate of Hampton University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master’s degree from Old Dominion University in Reading. Mrs. Durr is a Communicative Skills Specialist at James Monroe Elementary School where Mrs. Cassandra Duke-Washington is principal. Mrs. Durr believes if children live with encouragement in education then they live with confidence. As an educator, I must give children encouragement through fairness, justice and teach them to be successful learners.
