She is a resident of Virginia Beach, VA and a graduate of the University of Virginia. With ten years of experience, she is a first grade teacher at Fairlawn Elementary School in Norfolk where Mr. Dennis Fifer is the principal. Mrs. Briggs believes that a teacher’s role is not only to teach the curriculum, but also to connect that curriculum to the student’s world by making the information fun and relevant. This begins, first, by believing in the student, and then, guiding the student to greater self-esteem and accomplishment.
